Dryer Vent Inspection in Sacramento, CA

What a dryer vent inspection actually involves

We start behind the machine. The dryer gets pulled out and the transition hose comes off. Flexible foil or vinyl from a 1970s or 80s remodel gets flagged right there. Crushed hose behind a pushed-back machine is the most common finding. Then a camera goes up the duct. We follow the run to its termination and note every elbow. Outside, the hood is opened and the flapper checked by hand.

The inspection is also a measurement. Airflow at the exterior hood tells us what the camera cannot. A run that looks open can still be choked at the final elbow. Roof-jack terminations in two-story Elk Grove, Natomas, Anatolia and Southport homes hide that packing where nobody looks.

Sacramento conditions show up in predictable ways. Summer attic heat bakes lint into hard scale that brushing alone will not lift. Winter fog does the opposite, turning lint to paste in cold metal. We check screened or louvered caps for valley dust and wildfire ash. Almond and grass pollen build up too. Bird and rodent nesting in exterior hoods is a mild-winter problem here.

Inspection findings get written down with photos. You see the duct material and the elbow count. We also note the termination condition. Some runs need cleaning. Some need rerouting. Some are fine.

What happens after you call us

Step 1

Call and tell me how long your loads have been taking and where the dryer sits. I give you a two-hour arrival window, usually same week, and a text when I'm 20 minutes out.

Step 2

I walk the run first, inside and out, then quote one firm price before any tool comes off the truck. Attic runs and crushed flex cost more than a short wall vent, and I tell you which you have.

Step 3

I pull the lint, clear the hood, run a load to check airflow, and vacuum up after myself. You pay the quoted number, nothing added at the door.
